Omaha Housing Authority Ernie Chambers Court
The Omaha Housing Authority commissioned Reinhardt & Associates to accomplish the high profile renovation of the historic Strehlow Terrace Apartment Complex.
Strehlow Terrace was originally constructed after the turn of the century and has been on the National Historic Register since 1986. The complex consists of three larger units - the Roland, the Majestic, and the Strehlow - as well as a smaller Residence unit and a community building called the Annex. The entire complex has 70 apartment units.
Work at the complex included a complete renovation of each structure performed according to National Park Service standards for historic structures. The Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) assisted in the financing of the project.
